NEBC Closes Sale of Atco Plastics, Inc.


ATCO Acquisition Expands Plastics Company

Precision Engineered Products, of Attleboro, and its subsidiary, Matrix, Inc., a plastics components company based in East Providence, have acquired Atco Plastics, of Plainville, Mass., for an undisclosed amount of cash.

Atco´s business and assets will be integrated with Matrix´s plastic moulding plant in East Providence. Matrix, with 78 employees, has operated from the site for 43 years.

John Harker, president of Matrix, said, “Our two companies line up extremely well in terms of skills of our people, technologies, culture and can-do spirit.”

Ralph Schlenker, president of Atco, said, “The combination of our skills in close tolerance plastic moulding technology and focus on unsurpassed quality is an across-the-board win.”

Precision Engineered Products runs operating units in the United States, Mexico and China. Its´ operating divisions include Matrix, Brainin, Wauconda Tool and Engineering, General Metal Finishing and Polymetalurgical.
Atco Plastics is located in Plainville, Massachusetts.
